An accomplished performer on piano and accordion and first-class graduate in music theory, Torikian is a prodigious composer of film scores, theatre and production pieces. His work evinces a consummate ease across a broad spectrum of styles while the depth and emotion can perhaps be traced back to his Armenian roots. He has made serious musical and linguistic studies in which he probed the depths of this ancient culture which remains a powerful driving force for the composer's creativity.
