A musical career which began in the sixties. From his father's danceband to Cambridge University, Fred Frith and Henry Cow. As an instrumentalist in the seventies he performed and recorded with Link Wray, Mike Oldfield, the Penguin Café Orchestra. First album of songs, "Kew.Rhone" New York 1976, words by Peter Blegvad, featuring Carla Bley, Mike Mantler and Andrew Cyrille.

Has lived in Paris since the eighties recording an impressive catalogue of original works as composer, singer and arranger and performs regularly on the international festival circuit with his own band. Has successfully blurred the horizons between jazz and rock, from Louis Sclavis to Jack Bruce, pop to poetry, from Robert Wyatt to Paul Verlaine. Latest album "Divine Ignorante" to be released Spring 2012. Cristal/Harmonia Mundi.
