Daniel Diaz
Born 1963 in Buenos Aires, Daniel Diaz originally trained as a bass guitarist. He studied Argentinian folk rhythms and Tango with Horacio Salgan and « Cuchi » Leguizamon. He completed his training - including orchestration and improvisation - with Mark Egan, Oscar Stagnaro and Gary Burton at the Berklee College of Music. Composer, arranger and producer, he has recorded many solo albums in the United States and Canada with the Green Linnet label and in Europe he records for Timeless Records. He plays with Miguel Angel Estrella, Magic-Malik, Juan-Carlos Caceres, Jorge Chaminé and Elise Caron. Daniel Diaz has lived in Paris since 1997. His contribution to the Cézame collection so far can be found on Latin American Road Book (CEZ 4048 / 4049) and Cubanisimo (CEZ 4079).
