Born Paris, 1950. Studied classical piano at an early age. His musical influences were as diverse as Bach, the Beatles, Dylan and Miles. A close encounter with the mythical "Gong" in 1970 led to a life-long collaboration with Didier Malherbe. Soon after, a visit to Morocco, where he discovered Gnawa fostered an irrepressible affinity for African music. He has toured/recorded with a host of international artists like Peter Gabriel and Sting and participated in the Amnesty International Tour. He produced his first solo album in 1992, worked as film composer and arranger and in 1996 recorded the first "Hadouk" album with Didier Malherbe soon to be joined by Steve Shehan. The group won the "group of the year" award at the Victoires du Jazz in 2007. He continues working as studio producer and arranger.
