Pierre Bernard
Born in 1946, his musical trajectory began with the boys' choir in Dijon cathedral, directed by composer Joseph Sanson. A former student of Pierre Scaeffer at the CNS in Paris and of François Bayle at the GRM, he created his own studio to pursue exclusively electroacoustic music. He studied computer music at IRCAM and at the CEMAMu, obtaining a doctorate in music from the University of Paris.

Pierre BERNARD has been musical director of several music festivals in Paris, creating the first network of computer music centres in France. He colllaborated for many years with Iannis XENAKIS running conferences and courses for the UPIC (Acanthe centre, Salzbourg, Delphi, Paris, Valencia, Glasgow, Tokyo…). He co-founded a new chamber music festival « Plage Musicale en Bangor » in Belle île en Mer. A former dancer, director of television news features, he has composed many concert works and music for theatre, television and dance. Since 1992 he has been composing production music for France Television and has created Multi-Media events in England, France and Japan.
